Getting Started

  1. Add a deck. Give your deck a powerful name like, Bruce the Big Bad Basher or Thor the Big Scary God to set the mood and strike fear into your opponents.
  2. Add tactics. Things like, Get red mana, Block, or Direct player damage. Expand each tactic to tell us how many matching cards you need by when.
  3. Add cards. Use their specific names (4 Elvish Mystic) or group them together (8 Mana-helper elves) however you like. Expand each card to assign them to your tactics.
  4. Review and Refine. Our analysis tells you how stable your gameplay will be.

2018-03-16 If the creature has {X} in its mana cost, X is considered to be 0. 2018-03-16 Only the generic mana in that creature’s mana cost is reduced. For example, if that creature’s mana cost is {1}{R}, you’ll have to pay {R} to keep it. 2018-03-16 The creature enters the battlefield, so it will trigger enters-the-battlefield abilities even if you choose not to pay. 2018-03-16 If you choose not to pay, the creature is sacrificed immediately. No player will get priority in between the creature entering the battlefield and being sacrificed. Sacrificing the creature this way will trigger any abilities that trigger when it leaves the battlefield, and those abilities will be put onto the stack at the same time as those that triggered when it entered the battlefield.
gemstone caverns
commander: Legal    duel: Legal    frontier: ???    modern: Legal    legacy: Legal    vintage: Legal
2013-07-01 If multiple Gemstone Caverns are put onto the battlefield under a single player’s control before the game begins, the “legend rule” won’t put the extras into that player’s graveyard until just before the first player gets priority during their first upkeep step. There’s no opportunity to tap the extras for mana. 2016-06-08 A player’s “opening hand” is the hand of cards the player has after all players have taken mulligans and “scryed” if applicable. If players have any cards in hand that allow actions to be taken with them from a player’s opening hand, the starting player takes all such actions first in any order, followed by each other player in turn order. Then the first turn begins.

2016-06-08 The “shuffle and put the card on top” is a single action. If an effect causes the top card of the library to be face up, the second card down is not revealed.

2018-03-16 If a card in your library has {X} in its mana cost, X is considered to be 0. 2018-03-16 You can find any number of creature cards, so long as their total converted mana cost is 6 or less. For example, you could find eight creature cards with converted mana cost 0 and three with converted mana cost 2, but you couldn’t find two with converted mana cost 4.

2013-06-07 Although originally printed with a characteristic-defining ability that defined its color, this card now has a color indicator. This color indicator can’t be affected by text-changing effects (such as the one created by Crystal Spray), although color-changing effects can still overwrite it.
